For all aspects of your dental and oral health, we are particularly interested in your case and in your needs as an individual. We will take the appropriate time to explain treatment and discuss with you.
REGULAR CHECK UPS
"Prevention is better than cure" - so true for teeth!! We usually recommend six-monthly examinations, but will advise if longer intervals are suitable for you.
TOOTH WHITENING
We prefer a conservative approach to tooth whitening; using custom trays, specially fabricated for you, and a take home technique, which is gentler on your teeth and gums. Talk to your dentist about why we prefer this method.
If you're interested in whiter teeth, ask your dentist whether this treatment is suitable for you.
COSMETIC DENTISTRY
Depending on the individual case, we perform beautiful aesthetic improvements with direct and indirect techniques (composite resin and porcelain). There are often very simple procedures that can be performed to improve aesthetics. So, if there’s anything that bothers you about your smile, please do not hesitate to ask. Patients usually wish they'd asked sooner!
ORTHODONTICS
We offer clear aligner therapy for simple orthodontic correction, such as minor crowding or relapse of previous orthodontic treatment.
We do, however, believe in referring to specialists for complex orthodontic treatment. Specialist training, expertise and experience cannot be matched by us in general dentistry.
IMPLANTS
Implants require a surgical procedure, a period of healing and a restorative component. We will refer you to the appropriate specialist with the right kind of experience for your case to perform the surgery. We then work closely with them, so you can return to our rooms for the restoration (or crown) component after healing.
ENDODONTIC / ROOT CANAL THERAPY
In many cases, we will perform root canal therapy, referring some cases for specialist treatment.
CROWNS, BRIDGES, DENTURES
For all fixed and removable prostheses, we work closely with a high quality laboratory, and use only top quality materials. We do not send any work to the cheaper or overseas laboratories.
JAW PAIN / TEMPEROMANDIBULAR DYSFUNCTION SYNDROME
For these problems we take an initial, conservative approach, using exercises and other management techniques, sometimes referring patients to trusted allied health professionals (such as osteopathic/physiotherapy/remedial massage therapists). In some cases, we recommend the construction of an occlusal splint. Ask us if you are experiencing facial pain problems.
ORAL CANCER SCREENING
At every initial and regular check up, we will always perform an examination for oral cancer lesions. Early detection can improve outlook and save lives.
ORAL HYGIENE PRODUCTS
We only sell products that we recommend and that you cannot easily source, (eg manual toothbrushes and interproximal toothbrushes, safe tooth whitening top up kits). These products are only for sale to patients of our practice.
THE GOOD TOOTHBRUSH - sustainable toothbrushes by Tepe
This sustainable toothbrush, which you can buy from us, is made in Sweden with only green energy and renewable raw materials, (95% sugar cane). It can be recycled in your yellow recycling bin at home.
Cancellation policy and other.
Please note we require confirmation of appointments and a minimum of 24hrs notice to cancel an appointment. Insufficient notice will incur a fee. Our clinician’s time, and that of their assistant, is set aside for your allotted appointment. We have long waiting lists, and are always trying to accommodate our patients’ needs; so please give as much notice as possible to reschedule. You may do so by phone or email.
Please also note that we try our utmost to be on time for your appointment, balancing this priority with taking the best care of our patients - including you!
